The attack occurred when a tourist reportedly threw a stone at a beehive near the Tanaji Malusare samadhi, one of the fort's popular sites. Eyewitnesses claim the bees followed him as he fled, leading to more tourists being stung.
Forest officials and volunteer rescuers promptly assisted the injured, transporting them to medical facilities. Authorities temporarily halted vehicular traffic on the Sinhagad Ghat road to ensure the safety of others at the scene.
