The United States of America (USA) will continue to spur the co-operation with Angola for the encouragement of environmental tourism and wildlife in Angola.

This intent was manifested last Tuesday, in Luanda, by the chairman of the Foreign Relations Commission of the USA House of Representatives, Ed Royce.

ANGOP has learnt that the USA delegation is specifically focused on issues relating to wildlife and the environment.

Speaking at the end of spectators with Bornito de Sousa, the Angolan Vice President, Ed Royce, who is heading a delegacy including seven members of the US Congress, manifested his country's interest in boosting the co-operation with Angola.

Ed Royce also said that his country has also supported the electoral procedure in Angola and other areas of the vital emphasis to the country's development.

The US delegation held a meeting with the Speaker of the Angolan National Assembly (Parliament), Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos, on Tuesday.

The US delegation – that also held meetings with Angolan MPs – is expected to have meetings with officials from the Angolan Ministry of the Environment.
