Two people were killed and two others injured today when their car collided with a passenger train at an unmanned level crossing, 40 km from Vridhachalam railway station, railway sources here said.

The incident took place between Pukkiravari and Mukhasaparur railway stations.

The train was proceeding from Salem to Vridhachalam.

The injured have been admitted to the hospital, a railways release said.
