Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston's Nike deal expired, and the company opted not to renew, ESPN reported on Friday.

ESPN reports that Winston's Nike contract expired before the NFL announced the 2015 No. 1 overall draft pick would be suspended the first three games of this season for violating the league's personal conduct policy.

Winston was accused of groping a female Uber driver in 2016, and an NFL investigation supported the accusation, leading to his suspension.

The Buccaneers have since appeared to distance themselves from their starting quarterback in marketing campaigns, leaving Winston out of a series of promotional videos and off of player murals on their stadium, in which Winston was featured in each of the last two years.

Winston is the latest Heisman Trophy winner to not have a deal renewed with Nike, which signed Johnny Manziel in 2014 and Tim Tebow in 2010. Manziel is now playing in the Canadian Football League, while Tebow is playing baseball in the New York Mets' farm system.
