In Haryana, Ambala recorded a maximum temperature of 34.3 degrees Celsius while Bhiwani, Hisar, and Karnal recorded maximum temperatures at 31.4, 27.5 and 32.8 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Bhiwani, Hisar, and Karnal witnessed 28mm, 25 mm and 12 mm of rainfall, respectively.
Narnaul recorded a high of 31.5 degrees Celsius, three notches below normal.
In Punjab, Amritsar recorded a high of 32.8 degrees Celsius with four mm of rainfall while Ludhiana and Patiala recorded their maximum temperatures at 31.6 and 34 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Ludhiana recorded three mm of rainfall, it said.
The MeT department has predicted light to moderate rainfall at many places in both the states in the next 24 hours.
