Exhibition promotes traditional Indian weaves
Among the exhibits at the show underway at Jawahar Vyapar Bhavan here, are ensembles by veteran designer Archana Kumar.
The initiative aims to promote Indian crafts and the spirit of craftsmanship.
"The exhibition not only encourages the craftpersons to showcase their creations but also helps increase awareness about handcrafted jewelry and designer wear products to a wider audience," a CCIC spokesperson said.
Also featured in the show are designs by mother-daughter duo Sonia and Meher Jetleey, that combine Indian sensibilities with modern trends to curate apparels like parachute dresses and dhoti style tunics.
The exhibition is set to continue till August 20.
