The Cleveland Indians placed outfielder Leonys Martin on the disabled list Thursday with a non-baseball condition and recalled outfielder Greg Allen from Triple-A Columbus.

Martin did not play on Wednesday night after becoming ill the previous day.

"He got sick in the middle of the night," manager Terry Francona said Wednesday. "He got really sick. We're trying to get him straightened out."

Allen is hitting .224 with a home run and five RBIs in 47 big-league games and joins the Indians for the fifth time this season. He is 5 for 10 with three runs scored for the Indians in 2018.
