Seventh edition of Jozi Film Festival to kick off on September 27
The last edition of the competition had entries from across the continent of two to five minutes documentaries celebrating unique African stories and culture.
The seventh edition of Jozi Film Festival will take place from September 27 to 30 at the Bioscope Independent Cinema in Maboneng.
Jozi Film Festival is Johannesburg's longest running independent multi-genre festival. The main objective of the festival to provide a platform to both established and emerging filmmakers of South Africa. The few films include; Whispering Truth to Power directed by Shameela Seedat (SA), The Oslo Diaries (feature-length documentary), Mma Moeketsi (short fiction), Supa Modo (feature film), Johannesburg premiere, and much more.
Jozi Film Festival for the second time has joined hands with Discovery Channel offering African filmmakers an opportunity to win "Don't Stop Wondering Award".
The last edition of the competition had entries from across the continent of two to five minutes documentaries celebrating unique African stories and culture. The famous and acclaimed documentary Oslo Diaries will also be premiered at the JFF.
For the present edition, the winners of Discovery Channel Don’t Stop Wondering Award will get a Canon XF- 405 with a video camera with Singer Photographic camera accessories worth USD 6,800.
Africanism, old age African traditions, wildlife, and young generations all be showcased during the festival.
The entries are being broadcasted on Discovery Chanel. The winner of the same will be selected by vote. The last date of the voting is August 24.
