Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Yangervis Solarte departed Saturday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays with a right oblique injury.

Solarte is slated to undergo further diagnostic tests, according to the Blue Jays.

Solarte was injured during a second-inning at-bat and left with a 2-2 count. He swung at and missed a pitch from Tampa Bay right-hander Ryne Stanek and fell to a knee.

Trainers examined Solarte, and the Blue Jays removed him from the contest.

Richard Urena replaced Solarte and finished the strikeout.
