Denver Broncos coach Vance Joseph will be the one to decide who backs up Case Keenum at quarterback, but the fans already have cast their vote after one preseason game.

They'll take Chad Kelly, the final pick of the 2017 NFL Draft, over Paxton Lynch, the Broncos' first-round selection in 2016.

On Saturday night against Minnesota, Lynch completed 6 of 11 passes for 24 yards. He didn't throw any touchdown passes but added an interception to finish with a passer rating of 22.2 for the game.

Kelly, by contrast, went 14-of-21 passing for 177 yards with two touchdowns, an interception and 104.7 passer rating. He is the nephew of legendary Buffalo Bills quarterback Jim Kelly.

Lynch got the boos, Kelly the cheers. Lynch was trending on Twitter Saturday night -- and not in a good way.

Paxton Lynch is throwing high and it is going to get his WRs killed.

He already threw another wide out into triple coverage.

His issues have always been above the shoulders and so far that has been his downfall to start the 2018 season.
