FIFA World Cup 2018: Clash of Continents in Group H
Teams from four continents will participate in this group, only two teams will qualify for round of 16.
Group H is one of the most competitive groups in the FIFA World Cup Russia 2018. In this group, every team is capable of going to the round of 16. As only two teams will qualify, there will be a fierce competition in every game. Four teams from four continents will be fighting for a place in the round of 16.
Colombia will be hoping to repeat the magic of their last world cup. While James Rodriguez will be the key player on the team. Rodriguez has both the ability to score and create goals for his team. In the attack, he will be supported by Monaco’s ace forward Radamel Falcao in the front.
While Colombia is looking forward to James Rodriguez performance, Japan will be hoping for similar performance from their Borussia Dortmund star midfielder Shinji Kagawa. Japan’s performance will depend on their star players, who are playing in the top European leagues. With the likes of Shinji Kagawa, Shinji Okazaki, and Heisuke Honda Japan has all the potentials to qualify in the round 16.
As for Poland, Bayern Munich goal-scoring machine, Robert Lewandowski will be leading the team in Russia. Under the head coach Adam Nawalka (Member of Poland's 1978 World Cup semi-finals squad) Poland topped their group in the qualifying round. Under Nawalka coaching, Poland is currently ranked 10th in the World Ranking. In the Group H Poland will be favorites on paper to qualify in the round of 16.
The African team Senegal qualified in the world cup after 16 years, they will be determined to make their presence felt. Senegal will be looking forward to their Liverpool star, Sadio Mane to bring his goal scoring boots in the world cup. Along with Mane, West Ham striker Cheikhou Kouyaté will play a key role for Senegal in the World Cup. The African team will be a tough opponent for all the team in the Group H, and like other teams, they have all the qualities to qualify for the round of 16.
