Silk Road cultural exhibition in Colombo
Exhibition kicked off in Sri Lankan Capital Colombo with in display of China’s popular culture such as Kung Fu.
China Cultural Centre in Sri Lanka and Network of International Culturalink Entities of China has organized a mega Chinese exhibition named “Silk Road Memory-NICE Choice Exhibition of Chinese Creative Cultural Products."
The exhibition kicked off in Sri Lankan Capital Colombo within the display of China’s popular culture such as Kung Fu.
The exhibition will last till June 16, displaying products in six thematic sections, namely Rhythm of Porcelain, Legend of Chinese Kung Fu, Beautiful Life, Festival Gifts, Dreaming about Dunhuang, and Digital China.
China’s Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Cheng Xeyuan during the launch of the event said that exhibitions like this would provide a chance to Sri Lankan people to know and learn about China’s rich cultural history and industry as well as the ongoing development of it.
He also added, "The cultural industry or the cultural creative industry has become a new growth force in the world economy and will lead the economic development in the future".
Putting emphasis on ambitious Silk Road project ambassador also shares his vision on the promotion of the common development of two countries with ongoing ‘The 21st century Maritime Silk Road’ event.
