Huawei launches KunLun V5 mission Critical Server with its global partner SUSE

Huawei's longstanding collaboration with global ecosystem partners, including world-class Linux supplier SUSE, helps customers move from closed to open architecture and unlock innovation potential.

Huawei, a leading ICT solutions provider announced its next-generation x86 mission critical server KunLun V5 at CEBIT 2018, with its global partner SUSE. The server is ideal for core databases and mission-critical applications in a wide range of industries, including finance, government, telecom, energy, and retail.

The KunLun V5 server was launched by Matt Zhou, Director of Intelligent Computing Solution Sales Dept, Huawei Enterprise Business Group and Naji Almahmoud, Vice President of Global Alliances at the ongoing CEBIT event in Germany.

Powered by Intel Xeon Platinum 8100 and Gold 6100 processors, the next generation V5 features unique physical and logical partitioning for flexible resource management. With cutting-edge innovative RAS 2.0 technology, the server offers an open x86 ecosystem with the reliability of UNIX servers, Huawei told in a press release.
