The 15th China International Nuclear Industry Exhibition opened at the Beijing National Convention Center. China Guangdong Nuclear Power Co. Ltd. took part in many technological innovations such as Hualong No. 1 and Hefei System.

Among them, the “Hualong 1” master control room, plasma solid waste treatment model, and nuclear heat supply reactor were first shown at the nuclear trade show, as per Ce.

At Hall 4 of the National Convention Center, the booth of the China Guangdong Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. was displayed in a blue-and-white tone with a sense of science and technology and with a design sense.

China’s own third-generation nuclear power technology “Hualong No. 1” is still attracting attention at the site of this nuclear industry exhibition.

According to Ce, "Hualong 1" is a three-generation nuclear power technology jointly developed by China Guangdong Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. and its domestic partners. It adopts the highest international security standards for R&D and design, and its safety and other performance indicators have reached the international advanced level and have fully independent intellectual property rights.

For the first time, the “Hualong 1” main control room, which was unveiled at the nuclear trade show, allowed the public who had not visited the nuclear power plant to see the “high precision” of the nuclear power plant. In the 2017-2018 China Nuclear Science Awards announced shortly before, the Hualong No. 1 master control room was awarded the only first prize in the interactive display category.

The "Peace and Weapon System", a star product promoted by China General Nuclear Power Group (CGNPC), has also received extensive attention from industry peers. "Heyi System" is a universal nuclear-level digital instrumentation platform (DCS) independently developed by China General Nuclear Power, making China the fourth country in the world after the United States, France, and Japan. It fills domestic gaps, and some of its technical indicators are excellent. To break the foreign monopoly on international similar products, as per Ce.

As the first domestic product certified by China Nuclear Energy Industry Association and certified by international authoritative organizations, it has been applied in Yangjiang No. 5 and No. 6 units and Shandong Shidao Bay high-temperature reactor demonstration project, in addition to Hongyanhe No. 5 and No. 6 units. The Hualong No. 1 Fangchenggang demonstration unit and Tianwan No. 5 and No. 6 units have also signed a project contract.

At the expo, China Guangdong Nuclear Power also demonstrated the "artifacts" for pollution control and disposal - plasma hazardous waste treatment technologies and electron beam treatment industrial wastewater technologies.

Plasma hazardous waste treatment technology is the use of plasma instantly generated tens of thousands of degrees of heat, the rapid decomposition of organic pollutants such as dioxin into harmless small molecules, heavy metals, and other inorganic pollutants solidified in the glass body, the resulting glass body It can be used as a roadbed, building materials, etc. to truly achieve solid waste reduction, harmlessness, stabilization and resource utilization.

Electron beam treatment of industrial wastewater technology is the use of self-developed high-frequency high-pressure electron accelerator for wastewater treatment. China's first demonstration project to use this technology to treat industrial wastewater has started operations in Pujiang County, Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province.

Since the establishment of Daya Bay Nuclear Power Station, after more than 30 years of healthy and rapid development, China Guangdong Nuclear has formed a “4+X” industrial structure, including the development of nuclear power, nuclear fuel, new energy, and financial services.

According to Ce, as of the end of 2017, China Guangdong Nuclear Energy Corporation has shipped installed clean energy capacity of 45.11 million kilowatts, annual clean energy on-grid electricity of 211.9 billion kWh, and total assets of 635.2 billion yuan. By the end of 2017, it had 20 nuclear power generating units in operation, with an installed capacity of 21.47 million kilowatts and 8 nuclear power generating units under construction with an installed capacity of 10.27 million kilowatts.

It is the largest nuclear power operator in China, the third largest nuclear power company in the world and globally.
