International Data Corporation (IDC) has announced the commencement of its annual Francophone Africa CIO Summit, at Morocco’s Mazagan Beach Resort in El Jadida on 3 May under the theme 'Developing a blueprint for thriving in the digital economy'.

IDC's Francophone CIO Summit has served as a pioneering platform for ICT thought leadership over the last 6 years and returns in 2018 to make sense of the region's rapidly evolving digital transformation landscape wherein global analysts, market-leading vendors, and 80+ of the country's most influential ICT leaders gather to lay down a blueprint for thriving in the digital economy.

The summit will feature presentations, panel discussions, focus groups, and workshops, with the agenda to help CIOs rethink the way they leverage information, harness emerging ICT solutions, and facilitate organization-wide innovation, with the ultimate aim of making their enterprises more agile, efficient, and productive than ever before.

Jyoti Lalchandani, IDC’s group vice president and regional managing director for the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa says, "As the digital revolution continues to gather pace, traditional business models are undergoing unprecedented levels of disruption.”

“This has triggered a wave of digital transformation across the region, and expert guidance is now required to navigate the numerous challenges and roadblocks that lie in wait. For this reason, we are delighted to be returning to Francophone Africa to help the region’s ICT leaders develop a comprehensive blueprint for succeeding in the digital era," she further added.
