53rd International Sugar Organization Council Conference in Ethiopia

The chair of the International Council for 2018 is Ethiopian Sugar Corporation, selected at last conference held in London 2017.

Addis Ababa will hold the 53rd International Sugar Organization Council Conference from 25-28 June 2018.

The chair of the International Council for 2018 is Ethiopian Sugar Corporation, selected at last conference held in London 2017.

The nation will be benefited from hosting the international conference said Director Gashaw Aychiluhem, Ethiopian Sugar Corporation Communication.

He said that the conference will add value in terms of helping in promotion Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), creating opportunities for joint venture and image building.

The event will help in networking and will help the company representatives to enhance links with new partners to work on new projects.

According to the Director, this conference will help the country (Ethiopia) to share good practices and experiences in irrigation development.

There are 87 member states in the International Sugar Organization Council and this will have a role in paving a way for the participation of the non-member states and to join the same.

The conference will have global participation, which includes sugar sector professionals, researchers, producers and other key stakeholders from Asia, Europe, USA, Australia, and African countries.
