Dodgers' Buehler comes off DL for Friday start

The Los Angeles Dodgers activated right-hander Walker Buehler from the 10-day disabled list Friday.

In a corresponding move, the Dodgers optioned ambidextrous pitcher Pat Venditte to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Buehler had been on the disabled list since June 29 with a right rib microfracture. The 23-year-old is scheduled to take the mound Friday against the Los Angeles Angels at Dodger Stadium in his 10th start of the season.

On the year, the rookie Buehler is 4-2 with a 3.44 ERA. He has struck out 54 batters in 52 1/3 innings and held batters to a .222 average.

Venditte, 33, has pitched in five games, all in relief, and has an ERA of 8.31.
