Don Bosco TVET centers will receive solar power system from VPO

The office of the Vice President continues to make its presence felt by helping various communities in need through its flagship of the anti-poverty program. The office of the Vice President has sent a team to Calauan, Laguna for the formal turnover of a solar power system to the Don Bosco Technical Vocational Education and training center.
The Don Bosco TVET center was provided solar power system by OVP with peace and equity Foundation as its partner, which will assist them in the project. Vice president Leni Robredo said, “It will help to reduce the utility costs of the school, and motivate our young Bosconians to direct their energy toward learning better.”
Angat Buhay (NGO) which made partnerships among private sectors and aid groups to improve the lives of Filipinos in the marginalized society. The poverty alleviation project complements the government’s conditional cash transfer (CCT) program.
Leni Robredo and the Angat Buhay team visited Lanao del Sur to give abaca striping machine to the farmer and sewing machine to women dressmaker. Angat Buhay also built a classroom in Bukindo as well as toilets facilities and water pumps were provided to far-flung communities in the country.
Leni Robredo also said that the Fishermen from Sumisip, Basilan will also receive solar kits from her office and its NGO partners.
