Makati Government to distribute school supplies to students

The Makati Government is holding its annual classroom clean-up project with the distribution of free school supplies to students. The Mayor Abby Binay encouraged students and their parents to participate in the weeklong “Brigada Eskwela” which started on May 21.
She said that this way the students will be able to get their classroom ready and at the same time will receive their free uniform and school supplies.
The Makati City government has allocated PHP 700 million for it's project FREE (Free Relevant Excellent Education) which will provide over 90,000 public schools from preschools to senior high schools everything they need for opening of classes.
The free distribution school supplies include pencils, pens, notebooks, writing pads, and school bags, two sets of school uniforms, polo shirt and pants for boys and skirts for girls.
While each student will receive two sets of Physical Education uniforms (shirt and jogging pants), one pair of boots and the will also receive dental and hygiene kits.
