USDA to survey 4000 Wisconsin farm operators to give an insight for June Agricultural Survey. The questionnaires to be prepared by the National Ag Statistics Service’s Great Lakes Regional Field Office. It is among the largest and most important data finding efforts and is the primary source of information.

The agency is scheduled to conduct two surveys, first is June Agricultural Survey and the other one is June Area Survey. NASS uses emails and phones to make its database.

The USDA representatives are planning to visit randomly selected areas and interview few local operators.

Greg Bussler, State Ag Statistician assures that survey will give accurate data on the plantation of crops, grain sticks, livestock inventory, cash rent, land values, and sales.

"When growers respond to these surveys, they provide essential information that helps determine the expected acreage and supply of major commodities in the United States for the 2018 crop year," Bussler said.

The survey serves as a blueprint for different fields. The survey results help producers in making strategies about valid production, marketing, and investment decisions. Congress avails the data to design better regulations and farm programs while industry analysts, extension agents, farm organizations and agricultural lenders study and use the data in a variety of ways to benefit the grower directly.
