Matt Kemp hit two home runs and Alex Wood worked his way out of trouble to pitch six strong innings as the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers rolled to a 11-2 victory Sunday over the Milwaukee Brewers.

Kemp hit solo home runs in the second and third innings to give him 17 on the season. Manny Machado had two hits, including an RBI double in the second inning, and went 5-for-13 in his first three-game series with the Dodgers since being traded from the Baltimore Orioles.

The Brewers loaded the bases in the first two innings against Wood (6-5), but the left-hander limited the damage to give up two runs on five hits over six innings with four strikeouts and three walks.

The Brewers lost for the eighth time in their last nine games and have lost three consecutive series, falling out of first place in the National League Central in that stretch.

Brewers starter Brent Suter (8-7) gave up six runs on eight hits over three innings, leaving the game with forearm tightness, the same injury that had him on the disabled list earlier this month.

Two position players pitched for the Brewers, holding the Dodgers scoreless over the final three innings. Utility man Hernan Perez gave up one hit with a walk and a strikeout over two innings, while catcher Erik Kratz gave up one hit with one strikeout in one inning of work.

The Brewers took an early 2-0 lead on Travis Shaw's two-run single in the first inning, but it was all Dodgers after that. Chris Taylor and Justin Turner also had RBIs, along with Kemp and Machado, in the Dodgers' five-run second inning.

Turner, who started for the first time since July 11 because of injury, left the game after the top of the third with right groin tightness.

Max Muncy, Logan Forsythe, Austin Barnes and Taylor all drove in runs during the Dodgers' five-run fifth inning that put the game away. Forsythe had three hits in his first multi-hit game since June 19. Kemp also finished with three hits.

Caleb Ferguson held the Brewers scoreless over the final three innings for his second three-inning save.

The Dodgers improved to 12-5 in July and have won 39 of their last 57 games since May 17. They are 29-14 since the start of June. The Dodgers won for the eighth time in their last 13 games at Milwaukee.
