Sri Lanka Economic Summit 2018 to be held on Sept 13

Sri Lanka Economic Summit 2018, the foremost economic event of Sri Lanka will be held on September 13 at Cinnamon Grand Colombo.

The theme of the event will be ‘On the Fast Track to a Turnaround’.

Sri Lankan economy is at a crucial juncture where it requires a swift and well-thought plan to make possible a turnaround. It is necessary for Lanka to bring about stability and development.

The sessions of the event will ponder on understanding the need for a reversal, the methods to achieve it and enhancing the future outcomes concerned with trade, investment and services.

Other than this, Singapore-Sri Lanka, free trade agreement will also be discussed. Launching of initiatives such as the Single Window Investment Facilitation Task Force (SWIFT),  National Export Strategy and the Trade Information Portal will be other areas of discussion.

Ways to make bureaucracy work effectively will also be discussed in one of the sessions of the summit.

At the end of the summit, all the findings of the summit will be discussed in a high-level panel discussion.

Plans to take the Sri Lankan economy to greater heights in order to make it a global trade hub will be under consideration.

Last year many CEOs, Chairpersons, Directors, Senior Managers participated in the summit.
