The Chicago White Sox acquired left-hander Hunter Schryver from the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for international signing bonus pool money, the team announced Tuesday.

The 23-year-old Schryver has spent the season in Single-A, making 31 appearances (one start). On the year, between Bowling Green and Charlotte, he is a combined 1-3 with a 2.40 ERA, nine saves and 59 strikeouts in 48 2/3 innings.

He started the season at Bowling Green, where he had a 2.23 ERA in 21 appearances before being promoted to Charlotte.

Tampa Bay selected Schryver, a Pennsylvania native, in the seventh round of the 2017 draft. The White Sox will assign him to Class-A Winston-Salem.
