More than 39,000 complaints received by CVC since last year, says Govt
39,000 complaints were received by the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) between January 2017 and June this year, Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh informed the Rajya Sabha today.
Of these, over 36,000 complaints were disposed of, he said.
The action taken on these complaints included the filing of 12,803 anonymous, pseudonymous, vague and unverified complaints, forwarding of 23,507 complaints to the appropriate authorities with jurisdiction, and sending 315 complaints about the inquiry to Chief Vigilance Officers (CVOs) or the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Singh said.
