Governor Satya Pal Malik presents Surya Bhanu with cheque of Rs 10 lakh

Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik Saturday presented a cheque of Rs 10 lakh to Asian Games 2018 Bronze medallist Surya Bhanu Pratap who represented the country in Wushu in the competition.

Malik also presented a cheque of Rs 2 lakh to Pratap's coach Kuldeep Handoo for bringing laurels to the state in the Asian Games held in Indonesia.

The Governor felicitated the Wushu player for winning the Bronze medal in the Asian Games 2018 and his coach Handoo at the Raj Bhavan here Saturday, an official spokesman said.

Lauding Pratap's achievement, Malik noted that he is an inspiration for the youth of the state and wished him high success in all his future endeavours, the spokesman said.
