Los Angeles Kings goalkeeper Jonathan Quick has been scratched from Sunday night's start against the Detroit Red Wings due to a lower-body injury, the team announced.
Quick suffered the injury during Saturday's practice. He is considered day to day.
Jack Campbell will start in place of Quick.
Quick made 30 saves and allowed three goals in Friday's season-opening overtime loss to the San Jose Sharks.
Quick, 32, is in his 12th NHL season. He has 49 career shutouts and has won 30 or more games six times.
Quick has played in two All-Star games. He also was named to the team last season and pulled out due to injury.
Campbell will be making his eighth NHL appearance and sixth start. The 26-year-old went 2-0-2 with a 2.48 goals-against average in five games (four starts) for Los Angeles last season.
