DMK President wants appointment with TN Governor Banwarilal on corruption

DMK President M.K. Stalin has sought an appointment with Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit to impress upon him the need for taking steps against the guilty to check corruption in the state.
"The Governor has himself openly talked about corruption in universities and various departments in the state. We have sought time from him to tell him to take appropriate action to check corruption in various spheres," he told reporters here.
The Governor created flutters with his remarks last week that there was largescale corruption in the appointment of Vice Chancellors of universities and claimed that he had appointed nine Vice Chancellors and in no case was there any corruption.
Ever since political parties in the state have been asking the Governor to come out with details to back his charge and act against the guilty.
