Roadmap for implementation of Transformation of Aspirational Districts programme

UP government has drawn a roadmap to implement the Transformation of Aspirational Districts programme. The claim was made by the CM while speaking at the Yojana Bhawan on Monday.

According to the Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath,” For the success of the programme, all the persons concerned have to work with a positive frame of mind. With public co-operation, the targets of the programme can be achieved and for this, there is no paucity of resources."

He further that of the 115 aspirational districts in the country, eight were chosen from Uttar Pradesh. Those eight are Balrampur, Bahraich, Shrawasti, Siddharthnagar, Sonbhadra, Chandauli, Fatehpur and Chitrakoot.

He further added,” After deliberating with the Niti Aayog, 49 indicators have been finalized to measure the progress of the districts. These include health, nutrition, education, agriculture, water resources, financial inclusion and skill development.”

Also present at the occasion Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh said, “Uttar Pradesh is the most populous state in the country and hence, its contribution to the country's development is inevitable. In the last few years, despite a high GDP growth rate, India's position on the Human Development Index was 138. To improve the country's HDI ranking, the Prime Minister has initiated the transformation programme of the aspirational districts."

The Transformation of Aspirational Districts programme ‘s objective to quickly transform these districts. The programme is a collaboration of center, state-level prabhari officer, and district collectors.
