As the planet earth is getting warmer day by day with more than 50 percent urban population, there is an urgent requirement of cooler cities and town which is only possible with the help of urban planning. Urban thinkers of World Urban Campaign will meet at the 54th Annual Congress feat. The objective of the ISOCARP’s 54th Annual Congress is,” Cool Planning: Changing Climate and our Urban Future “ and calls the best planning professionals to participate in the event to be held in Bodo, Norway from 1st to 5th October 2018.

In the event the debate and discussion on the future of the cities, climate change will be the main arena for the participants to talk about. ISOCARP will provide an insight on measures and schemes needed for urban planning and what all is required to tackle climate change. With international and multi-disciplinary perspectives, the event will witness participation from practising planners, local government officials, private sector experts, environmental managers, educators, students, and the public.

ISOCARP is offering an invitation for all those willing to protect the climate and help in implementing “Climate Action” Sustainable Development Goal: “Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts.”

Coordinated by UN-Habitat, World Urban Planning and its thinkers act as a partnership platform in terms of global advocacy and encourages dialogues, innovations, and learning that are beneficial for urban planning and development.
