The Defence ministry has come forward to set up a 'Defence Incubator' for startups in the city.

According to an official release, Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has conveyed the ministry's decision for setting up the incubator under 'Innovations for Defence Excellence ( iDeX).'

State minister for IT and Industries, K T Rama Rao had earlier written to Sitharaman seeking her intervention for setting up the Incubator as the city hosts many defence and aerospace facilities.

Telangana government may allot exclusive space for the defence incubator in the upcoming phase-II of the 'T-Hub.'
