The Nets added forwards Kenneth Faried and Darrell Arthur, a protected 2019 first-round pick and a 2020 second-rounder in a separate deal with the Denver Nuggets on Friday.

The Brooklyn Nets traded the oft-traveled point guard, a 2025 second-round draft pick and the right to swap second-round picks in 2023 to the Atlanta Hawks on Friday. In return, the Hawks are sending the Nets the rights to 2016 second-round pick Isaia Cordinier, who to date has remained in his native France, and a protected second-round pick in the 2020 draft.

Lin, headed to his seventh NBA team as he prepares to enter his ninth season, now joins a roster that includes two notable point guards, No. 5 overall pick Trae Young and veteran Dennis Schroder. According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, however, league sources said they expect the Hawks to now trade Schroder this offseason.

Lin, 29, played in only one game last season with Brooklyn, sustaining a season-ending ruptured patellar tendon on opening night. He had averaged 14.5 points and 5.1 assists in the 2016-17 season for the Nets and carries a $12.5 million salary-cap hit on his expiring contract.
