The Boston Red Sox placed third baseman Rafael Devers on the 10-day disabled list on Sunday, one day after he injured his left hamstring.

Devers departed in the eighth inning of Saturday's 10-4 win over the Minnesota Twins when he was injured while running the bases.

Infielder Tzu-Wei Lin was recalled from Triple-A Pawtucket in a corresponding move.

Devers returned from a DL stint on July 21, stemming from an injury to left his shoulder.

The 21-year-old Devers is batting .245 with 15 homers and 52 RBIs

Lin batted .182 in 44 at-bats for the Red Sox earlier this season. He was hitting .315 with five homers and 18 RBIs in 49 games at Pawtucket.

Eduardo Nunez and Brock Holt are possible options at third base in addition to Lin while Devers is sidelined.
