Three day Dehradun Literary Festival comes to an end

Dehradun Literary festival began on Thursday after the Governor K K Paul inaugurated the event. Isha foundation rocked the stage with a musical performance.

The event witnessed a talk session between spiritual leader Sadhguru and renowned writer Ruskin Bond. The talk session was titled as "Mystic Meets Legend".

During the session talking about the beauty of Dehradun, Ruskin Bond said: "Doon valley and the beautiful hills are very close to me and I have spent a significant part of my life writing about them and will continue to do that."

Spiritual seer Sadhguru said: "I have been reading Ruskin Bond's works since I was an eight -year-old." He also shared his memories when he used to go biking into the Himalayas. "Right from childhood, I always had the image of certain mountain peaks. My search for that peak started when I was 19. It was then I realized that I am not a fan of mountains but a slave to them." "Instead of accusing others for the miseries and suffering and pain that we go through, we should look within. I do not forgive anyone because I do not accuse anyone."

He further added: "The most ridiculous ideas that humans have is that we feel other humans and beings are there to serve us."

The three day festival will end today. The theme for the event is "Khulli Kitaab". Sharmilla Tagore, Soha Ali Khan, Madhur Bhandarkar, Divya Dutta etc are also making the event a grand one.
