Japanese firms planning to invest in waste to energy power plant in India

Nettlinx Limited Friday said Japanese Investment firms - Takara Leben Co. Ltd and Kuni Umi Asset Management Co. Ltd may jointly acquire 30 per cent stake in its upcoming SVGreen 12 MW waste to energy power plant here. 

The BSE listed IT firm, as part of its business diversification has recently stepped into Green Energy Segment WTE Power Sector. According to a press release, SVGreen is developing a WTE plant using waste collected in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation limits and the project will be operational in about 18-24 months' time. 

SVGreen has acquired suitable land, obtained necessary statutory clearances and approvals from State government agencies, the release said.
