Govindgarh police have arrested Sattar Khan from Bharatpur district who along with Shakil and his family members was allegedly involved in unauthorized cow slaughtering and selling beef, police said.
The accused was arrested yesterday from the Bharatpur district, they said.
It is the fifth arrest in the case, SHO, Govindgarh police station, Dara Singh said.
On July 31, police had seized nearly 220 cow skins, 82 buffaloes and 45 goats from a slaughterhouse suspected to be carrying out unauthorized activities, officials said.
Shakil Qureshi, his wife, mother, and sister-in-law were later arrested for slaughtering a cow at their residence and nearly 40 kg suspected beef was seized from them, they added.
Based on the information provided by the arrested accused, Salim and then Sattar Khan was arrested, officials said.
