WB governor recited 157 poems of Rabindranath Tagore's Gitanjali

Hindi translation of the 157 poems of Rabindranath Tagore's Gitanjali recited by West Bengal Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi was today released here. "Since my student life, I was deeply involved in the poetic world of Gurudev Rabindranath.

I read and re-read his poems and discovered not a man, but a saint in him. Gitanjali is not just a collection of poems to me. It is an Upanishad for the modern times," Tripathi today said after the release of the CDs at the Kolkata Press Club today.

This album contains a recitation of Hindi Translation of 157 poems of "Gitanjali" by Tripathi. The audio-album named "Rabindranath Thakur ki Gitanjali" for the national and international audience was released in the presence of veteran actor Saumitra Chattopadhyay and Ramananda Bandyopadhyay.

Tagore breathed his last on August 7, 1941.
