Tata group to celebrate J.R.D Tata's 114th birth anniversary
Jehangir Ratanji Dadabhoy Tata better known as J.R.D Tata was a visionary ahead of his times. He was the founder of Tata airlines, now known as Air India. “Undisputed pioneer of civil aviation in India”.
Tata steel to pay tribute to J.R.D Tata on his 114th birth anniversary. A special program will be held at Sonari Airport by Tata steel's aviation department. Mega health camps for truck drivers and helpers to be organized at Transport Park in association with Tata Motors.

He joined the Tata group as an intern at an age of 22. In 1938, he became the chairman of Tata Sons. He was a born entrepreneur as he started with 14 companies and ended his reigns with 95 companies. These companies include giants like Tata Motors, Tata Consultancy Service, and Titan Industries.

He received Bharat Ratna in 1992 for his path-breaking social initiatives.
