Consumers belonging to the mainland are lining up for vaccinations in Hong Kong leading up to vaccine shortage.

The whole set of Children's vaccinations as told by a vaccination agent costs about USD 2500. A child all the vaccinations required in almost 8 visits with two injections each.

The supply of vaccines has gone low as people belonging to the mainland are clamouring for it. The clinics are getting more and more consumers for vaccination inquiry.

At least 20 people visit the clinic daily to inquire about it, says s local doctor.

The surge in the number of consumers from the mainland is suggestive of the fact that the quality of the vaccine might not be as good as compared to Hong Kong.

Doctors in Hong Kong are of a view that people have faith in the Hong Kong available vaccines.

In Hong Kong, the vaccines are stored in special refrigerators which along with temperature monitoring also keeps back up power so that the vaccines can be kept at the steady temperature during power cuts as well.

The major vaccines undergoing shortages is the hepatitis B vaccines. It is crucial to have the knowledge about the supply capabilities of the pharmaceutical manufacturers in order to meet the demand.

The consumers are blindly pursuing the Hong Kong vaccines which the doctors consider inappropriate as this type of blindness can land them in trouble.
