Case of cheating against entrepreneur-politician Nowhera Shaik

Maharashtra Police Tuesday registered a case of cheating against entrepreneur-politician Nowhera Shaikh for duping investors, an official said.
A case of cheating was registered against Shaikh at J J Marg police station in South Mumbai on the complaint of an investor who has allegedly cheated of Rs 3 lakh, said senior police inspector Shirish Gaikwad.
"We have transferred this offense to the economics offense wing (EOW) of the Mumbai Police," he said. Shaikh, Managing Director of Heera Group of Companies, had allegedly promised investors attractive returns on their investments but failed to return their money. She was recently arrested in New Delhi by Hyderabad police.
