Obamas endorse 100 candidates for mid-term polls

New Mexico candidate, Deb Haaland was the first congressional candidate to support the abolishment of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency.

The Obama couple released a list of at least 100 Democratic candidates who will contest in more than ten states in the mid-term elections. Obamas also have plans to campaign for some of them.

Democratic primaries have already been conducted by the endorsements with only New York remaining.

Some of the important and noteworthy endorsements being made include the Governor candidate of Georgia, Stacey Abrams, Candidate from New Mexico, Deb Haaland Senate candidate from Nevada Jacky Rosen.

Both Barack and Michelle Obama had kept themselves away from politics since the inauguration of Donald Trump. This approach from the Obamas had put some Democrats in frustration as they wanted their top leadership to be active and functional.

Traditionally, in US parties in White House lose on ground and Democrats under Obama lost almost 1,000 state legislative seats during his 8-year tenure.
