New Delhi, Aug 11 (PTI) It was a sultry day in the national capital today, with mercury settling at 35.3 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average.
According to the Meteorological (MeT) department, the humidity level oscillated between 97 per cent and 63 per cent throughout the day.
The minimum temperature was recorded at 27.6 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average.
The weatherman has forecast light rains in some areas of the national capital tomorrow.
"The skies will remain generally cloudy tomorrow. There is a possibility of light rains in Delhi," an official of the MeT department said.
The Safdarjung observatory recorded 45.4 mm rainfall overnight, while the Palam observatory recorded 0.6 mm rains.
The rainfall at the Lodhi Road, Ridge and Aya Nagar areas was recorded at 38 mm, 2.6 mm and 1.9 mm respectively.
