Rangers activate OF DeShields from concussion list
The Texas Rangers activated center fielder Delino DeShields from the seven-day concussion list ahead of Sunday's game against the New York Yankees, sending outfielder Drew Robinson to Triple-A Round Rock in a corresponding move.
DeShields landed on the concussion list on Aug. 3 after complaining of headaches that stemmed from a game against the Boston Red Sox on July 11 when he hit his head while diving for a catch.
DeShields is hitting .208 this season, with two home runs and 21 RBIs in 81 games. He also missed time early in the season with a fractured hamate bone in his left hand, but returned well ahead of schedule.
Robinson was batting just .186 with one home run and five RBIs in 32 games.
