The Los Angeles Football Club plays host to the San Jose Earthquakes Saturday afternoon in an MLS game between teams at opposite ends of the Western Conference spectrum.

Kickoff is 12:30 p.m. at the Banc of California Stadium.

LAFC (13-7-8, 47 points) sits third in the West and has a streak of five games without a loss. However, the last three games have seen the team go 1-0-2 with only four goals total in those three games.

The last start was a 1-1 final with the New England Revolution, giving up a late goal at home for the draw.

"The part of becoming a very good team that knows how to win big games - that knows how to win games that become physical, that knows how to win every kind of game because different opponents mean different kinds of games - that is still where we're finding our way," LAFC head coach Bob Bradley said.

San Jose (4-17-8, 20 points) is coming off an incredulous 4-3 loss to Atlanta on Wednesday night. The Quakes were playing their first match for interim coach Steve Ralston and were up 3-1 over the top team in MLS

The lead appeared to grow to 4-1, but a VAR review of an incident over 90 seconds earlier disallowed the goal and gave Atlanta a penalty kick. Instead of 4-1, it became 3-2 and Atlanta rallied late for the win.

"It's tough because you're up 4-1 for a moment, and then it's 3-2 and it's a totally different game," said Ralston. "It was the turning point in the game and it is a hard one. I am proud of the group, and I feel really bad for them. They gave everything, and to not get at least a point out of this game is really hard for them."
