Jonathan Marchessault had a goal and an assist and Marc-Andre Fleury had 17 saves to pick up his 408th career victory and move into 10th place on the NHL's all-time win list as the Vegas Golden Knights defeated the visiting Anaheim Ducks 3-1 on Saturday night in Las Vegas.
William Karlsson and Ryan Reaves also scored goals for Vegas which won its third straight game and outshot the Ducks, 44-18.
Fleury broke a tie with Glenn Hall for 10th place on the all-time career wins list. Tony Esposito is ninth with 423 victories.
Ben Street scored the lone goal for Pacific Division-leading Anaheim, which had a two-game winning streak snapped. John Gibson kept the Ducks in the game by making 42 saves.
Vegas dominated the first period, outshooting the Ducks, 15-3, but didn't score until just 13.7 seconds remaining on a power play goal by Karlsson, who deflected a centring pass from Marchessault under Gibson's right arm.
Reaves made it 2-0 about midway through the second period with his first goal of the season, beating Cam Fowler to a rebound of a Nick Holden slap shot in front of the net and then firing a shot under Gibson's left arm.
Street cut it to 2-1 early in the third period when he picked up the puck in the right corner, spun around and then skated in and beat Fleury with a wraparound shot through the pads for his third goal of the season. Fowler and Ryan Getzlaf were credited with assists, and it was the 200th of Fowler's career.
Anaheim pulled Gibson for an extra attacker with 1:20 remaining but didn't manage a shot on goal before Marchessault sealed it with an empty-netter off a clearing pass from Reilly Smith with 16.2 seconds to go. It was the team-leading fifth goal of the season for Marchessault.
