Lithuanian woman to take long hair to EU parliament
Autukaite collected the all expenses paid trip for beating off 184 rivals to win Lithuania's annual "World's Longest Hair Competition" on Sunday in Kaunas, the country's second largest city.
Odeta Autukaite's hair is longer than a golf club, can wrap around the wheel of a car and will take her to the European Parliament.
Autukaite collected the all expenses paid trip for beating off 184 rivals to win Lithuania's annual "World's Longest Hair Competition" on Sunday in Kaunas, the country's second largest city.
The 26-year-old's hair was measured at 156 centimetres (61 inches).
"I really did not expect (to win), because it was a long time since I measured (my hair)," she said.
The ninth edition of the competition drew women of all ages, with the oldest an 80-year old.
Autukaite's winning hair was still way short of the competition's record holder of 245 cm (96.46 inches) set in 2013.
