This global celebration of forests provides a platform to raise awareness of the importance of all types of woodlands and trees, and celebrate the ways in which they sustain and protect us.
To celebrate this year’s International Day of Forests, this event will gather eminent speakers presenting innovative ideas on urban farming, the integration of trees in buildings, wood construction, and architecture, be showing that technology and ingenuity have no limits.
This event is jointly organized by the UNECE/FAO Forestry and Timber Section and the UNECE Committee on Housing and Land Management, together with the FAO Liaison Office in Geneva.
