An official statement said that The Union Cabinet was apprised of a MoU between India and Guyana. The MoU is on the bilateral cooperation in the renewable energy between the two countries.
"The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been apprised of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation in Renewable Energy between India and Guyana," an official statement said.
Power and New & Renewable Energy Minister R K Singh and Carl B Greenidge, 2nd Vice President and the Foreign Minister of the Co-operative, Guyana have signed an MOU on January 30, 2018.
Both the sides are aiming at the cooperative institution relationship. The relationship would encourage and promote technical bilateral cooperation based on mutual benefit, reciprocity, and equality, on new and renewable energy issues.
The aim of the MoU is an exchange of expertise and networking of information. A Joint Working Committee would be established, as envisaged in the MoU, that would discuss, review and monitor the matters related to the areas of cooperation.
This MoU would help in enhancing the bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
