The projects proposal to be considered by the BIRD energy group requires Research and Development cooperation between two companies or it could be between a research institute or a company (one from Israel and one from the US).
Other points that proposal should reflect are the scope for substantial commercial potential and also the outcome of the project should also be good in terms of commercialization.
The BIRD Foundation has mention few research and development topics as examples which includes, Water-Energy Nexus, Advance Manufacturing, Smart Grids, Advanced Vehicle Technologies and Alternative fuels, Solar and Wind power or any other potential Energy Efficiency or Renewable Energy technology.
The grant for the joint is maximum of USD 1 million per project or up to 50% of the research and development costs.
