During the first edition of "IT Hub Connect 2018 - Innovations, Regulations, and Investments" conference held in Sofia, Bulgaria, the Minister of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Besim Begaj emphasized the capability and capacity of Kosovo to be a regional center for innovation echoing the belief in the potential of Kosovo's youth.
He emphasized on the point, in his address at a conference, that the population of Kosovo is a new technology capable population that has the capability to transform the economy of Kosovo into a knowledge-based economy. He said that a knowledge-based economy would be a guarantee for sustainable development in the economy.
The specific cases of youth achievements in the field of technology and innovation were also mentioned by Begaj and he also pointed out that Kosovo is recognized as a country with great internet access.
He also invited donor for investment in Kosovo, as he spoke about the importance of cooperation and experience of the Ministry of Innovation and Entrepreneurship from the EU countries having relevant experience in the field.
The regional innovation ministers also participated in the conference held under the aid of the EU Presidency of the Council of Bulgaria.
Minister Besim Begaj will also meet Bulgaria's Economy Minister Emil Karanikolov during his stay in Bulgaria today.
"IT Hub Connect 2018" is an international forum, of two days (26-27 March 2018), organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria (AmCham Bulgari) and Indian-Bulgarian Business Chamber (IBBC), under the auspices of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
The agenda will revolve around IT outlook for 2020 and beyond, digital and customer experience transformation, an important role of technologies, cybersecurity and privacy with focus on regulations and compliance for doing business in the EU and India and more.
