BiSB announces Women’s Professional Leadership initiative 2018 in Bahrain

Bahrain rolled out "The Women's Professional Leadership Initiative 2018" in partnership with the Bahrain Islamic Bank (BisB). The programme will be launched in April and will conclude at the end of 2018.

The Initiative is a versatile programme intended to empower professional women in Bahrain by providing them with the tools and resources necessary to further build and unlock their leadership potential and to prepare them to pursue senior roles across industries and both private and public-sector organizations.

The programme comprises of numerous key development pillars that will be rolled out throughout the year. They include a range of skills and training modules to be offered in conjunction with other partners, mentorship opportunities, and a series of professional networking events.

BisB has previously launched programs targeting development of female in professional front, is "The BisB Women in Leadership Program." Launched in 2018 is one of them. It offers realistic support and platforms to enable women professionals across the Bank to enhance their career graphs.

Expressing his view on the initiative, Mr Hassan Jarrar, The Chief Executive Office in BisB said, "As an extension to our activities and deep commitment to supporting women's professional development, we are delighted to announce our Strategic Partnership with "The Women's Professional Leadership Initiative 2018". Its planned programmes and approach complement our existing strategy and allow us to lend BisB's experience in empowering women to the broader community and female professionals both in our industry and others.
